Life in England

A few things we did... We toured the Liverpool Cathedral, a massive stone building which took nearly 100 years to build. We went up to the roof of the tower for a magnificent view of Liverpool. We took a photo on Penny Lane, which was difficult to find since the signs had been stolen. We looked through John Lennon´s glasses in the Beatles museum. We walked around the perimeter of Chester´s ancient - nearly 2000 year old - Roman walls then took a relaxing boat ride down the river Dee. We went to a traditional Anglican service in a "new" church which was built of stone about 100 years ago. On the walk back from church we saw a squashed hedgehog on the side of the road. Very sad! English hedgehogs are bigger and browner than Turnip (he is an African pigmy hedgehog) We photographed a Cheshire cat before it completely vanished - under a car.
